This luxurious bathtub in the japanese style is made of high-quality larch wood. The simple uncompromising design of Matteo Thun (CH) evolved from his research into the very essence of a thing’s function, realized in a convincing use of form.

The Siberian larch wood is dried in several steps, cut in a special process, formed, and then assembled. The bathub itself is absolutely tight but should be used regularly (at least once a month).

The Ofuro design attracted international attention, winning the "Best in Bath Award" from Wallpaper* Magazine as well as the "Good Design Award" from Chicago’s Atheneum Museum.
